1. What are the browser requirements for shopping on this site? 

To shop at Life Ethics Information Centre Online you will need an up to date web browser with JavaScript and cookies enabled.  If you can shop online elsewhere then your browser should work here.


2. Are my transactions secure?

Life Ethics Information Centre offers a full-featured shopping and ordering system for your convenience and security. The shopping cart system allows you to browse LEIC OnLine, placing the items you wish to order in a virtual shopping cart.

LEIC is committed to protecting any information we obtain in the fulfillment of your order. This includes, but is not limited to, all private information and credit card information.

Your personal information is protected by data encryption and secure-server technology. We retrieve all orders from the server using secure web sessions. Your credit card information is never sent via e-mail-one of the least safe ways to send information.


3. What are my payment options?

Life Ethics Information Centre offers a choice of MasterCard or Visa as methods of payment.


4. What if I don't want to order online?

If you do not wish to order online, you may print out the order and mail it with check or money order to:

5. Will my e-mail address be used for anything besides my order?

We do not collect e-mail addresses from your orders. E-mail addresses voluntarily given us are used for the sole purpose of notifying individuals of updates of orders placed on-line. They are not distributed to anyone else.


6. Will my phone number be used for anything besides my order?

Persons who supply us with their telephone numbers on-line may be contacted by telephone regarding orders placed on-line if information needs to be clarified. Please provide us with your correct daytime phone number. Your phone number will not be shared with other organizations.


7. How do I use the shopping cart software?

Add any item to your shopping cart by clicking the shopping cart.

You can look at your shopping cart contents while you complete your order. You can remove items from your cart at any time until the "finalize order" screen is completed. This can be done in one of two ways: by hitting the "clear cart" button, or by setting the quantity to zero and then hitting the "recalculate" button. These buttons can be found at the foot of the order form screen.

If you need several copies of an item, you can increase the quantity to any number you desire.

Enter your shipping and payment details.

Click "Submit."

You will receive an e-mail receipt. Retain your receipt until you receive your shipment since you will have to refer to this receipt if there should be a shipment problem.


8. I can't find what I am looking for at lifethics.com.

If you are looking for something and haven't been able to find it, send your questions directly to admin@lifethics.com


9. Can I return any of the purchases?

Customers have until 30 days to return any purchases as long as the books are in good order meaning no tears, indentations nor marks to be found, anywhere. Please enclose the original receipt. A refund will be granted on the condition that a valid reason is provided. LEIC reserves the right to refuse a return if the merchandise is not satisfactory to the discretion of the management.
